The Congress Announced Pawan Bansal As Its Candidate For The Chandigarh

The Congress finally announced Pawan Bansal as its candidate for the Chandigarh parliamentary elections

Though the party’s central election committee on March 7 cleared Bansal’s name, no list was announced. The Congress had released its first list of 194 candidates on March 8. Bansal was nowhere there too. But, finally the list released on Thursday found Bansal’s name in it.

Congress is Pawan Bansal who was forced out of the Cabinet over corruption charges. Despite, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s insistence on anti-corruption ordinances, it seems the political compulsions forced the Congress to go in for a compromise.

One of the senior party leaders said that party ministers could not find any suitable leader against Congress MP Pawan Bansal to contest from the area.
